I dropped in on the 'Departure of the Elephant' portion of the Sultan's Elephant 'show' on the way home from work yesterday. It's not every day you see a 40 foot high mechanical elephant walking around London and spraying people with water.

I missed the build-up to this where an enormous marionette girl got out of a spaceship and rode around London on a bus. I don't know what these guys are smoking, but it works for them.

Just to bum me out afterwards though, I get back to the bike and find I, along with everyone else in the same bike bay, had been ticketed as they'd suspended the bay for the elephant show. Didn't go overboard on the signs to tell people about it though. Bastards. I was only in the bay for half an hour or so, and I suspect traffic wardens were hanging around and ticketing people as soon as they parked and walked off. Asswipes.
